Status: Part Time
Responsibilities:
- Drive daily Hospital employee shuttle
- Obtain, retrieve and transport laboratory specimens for analysis in the Laboratory Department or at Salem Health Laboratories
- Review accuracy and evaluate reliability of test results
- According to Hospital policy, notify proper parties of critical testing results
- Respond tactfully and appropriately to evaluation that results from Department quality control and Performance Improvement activity, applying conclusions of such evaluation to improve personal performance.
- Maintain a clean and efficient work area through adherence to internal and external protocols and standards, including those that pertain to safe management of biohazardous materials.
- Monitor inventory of supplies used to execute functions of position and properly notify designated staff when such supply requires restock.
- Perform other duties assigned by Laboratory Director
Qualifications
Educational/ Experience Required
- No specific educational requirements
- Aptitude in written and verbal communications
- Possession of United States citizenship or proof of right to work in the United States
- Possession of Driver’s License for the State of Oregon
- Able to demonstrate an excellent driving record
- Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and training activities
